SKETCH CHALLENGE

Sketch Challenge sponsored by Addicted To Card Making Facebook Group

I joined a Facebook group called Addicted To Card Making 2.0 (ATCM2.0), about a year ago. The members have shared many cards with a lot of inspiration. They all have such great talent!

Each month, the group encourages joining at least one card swap although this is not a requirement. (Each swap has a theme and you are able to choose which you would like to participate in and sign-up. You make a card using that theme and send it to the person they assign you to. You will receive a card in return with that theme.) One of the themes each month is a Sketch. They choose and display the sketch.

January 2019 Sketch Swap

This is the sketch that is for the swap.

These are the cards I made using this sketch.

Creating the Cards

I used the Hot Off The Press 'Easy Watercolor Florals' silicone stamp set. This is an easy layering stamp set especially for stampers that haven't tried layering before. I embossed the outline before stamping the colors.

I cut them into 2"x 2" squares. I chose patterned paper to compliment them. I cut them into two 1 1/4"x 1 1/4" squares and mounted them all on plain cardstock. The pattern paper for the first card came from the Madeleine Collection 6"x 6" paper pad from Bo Bunny.

The pattern paper for the second card came from the Madeline 6"x 6" paper pad by Prima Marketing.

The elements were mounted onto background paper from Stamping Up. The first card was added to a 4 1/4"x 5 1/2" (A2) size card base of Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock. The second card was put onto an A2 size card base made from Recollections 110# cardstock. I have links to purchase these items below.

Challenge yourself with a sketch once a month or once a week if you dare! Join the Facebook group Addicted To Card Making 2.0 for other swaps with unique themes like a Valentine or Baby Shower card, a card with twine or even a card with a fish!

Have a Happy New Year and Remember, great things happen to those that create!
